Chicago Bears defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek is known as an oft-injured player. He was again inured in Saturday night’s 17-3 preseason victory over the Giants. An arthroscopic surgery thus will be performed Friday on his right knee.
It was reported that Dvoracek tore the anterior cruciate ligament, in the Saturday game, but Coach Lovie Smith said it was no more than a sprain and expected that Dvoracek would be able to play soon.
Unfortunate Dvoracek has had three seasons of being put on injured reserve and playing only 13 games totally in the three seasons. He should pray to fully recover before Sept. 5 when the final roster cut down to 53 players because his current contract will expire following this season.
